SIMPLE PLANT STANDS

Birch trees in NE Portland are commonly cut down as they become hazardous, destroyed from the inside out by the Bronze Birch Borer. I made this series of plant stands to extend the life of a fallen birch tree from my backyard. Finished in a raw format to highlight the material without added flourish, signifying it’s living condition as a gnarly tree fighting predation.
